Driver Guide: Simple, Smart Dispatch
Klau was built by a roll-off driver for roll-off drivers. We know you're busy, so we made it so you don't have to install any apps. Everything happens through text messages and a simple web portal on your phone.
1. Getting Started (SMS Onboarding)
When your dispatcher adds you to Klau, you'll receive a welcome text. Simply reply with EN for English or ES for Spanish. Klau will remember your preference for all future messages.
Multi-Language Support
Klau currently supports full SMS dispatching in English and Spanish. We are committed to supporting a diverse workforce and will be adding additional languages in the future based on driver demand.
2. Your Daily Jobs
One hour before your first job, you'll receive a text with your shift details and a secure link. Click that link to open your Personal Driver Portal.

Click the "Navigate" button to open Google Maps directly to the site.

Tap "Arrived" when you get to the site and "Finished" when you're done.

Photo Evidence
Snap a photo of the completed job or a weight ticket and upload it instantly.
3. Natural Language SMS
You don't always have to use the web portal. You can text the Klau dispatcher naturally, just like you're talking to a real person.
Driver Says:
"I'm done with the job at 123 Main St."
Klau interprets this as Job Completed and sends your next assignment.
Driver Says:
"I need to leave early on Friday for my son's game."
Klau makes a note and tells the dispatcher to ensure you're finished by your requested time.
4. Breaks & Compliance
Klau helps track your breaks for labor law compliance. You can start and end breaks directly from your phone. The system will even send you a gentle reminder if it's time for lunch and you haven't logged one yet.

Always pull over safely before typing or reading messages. Klau's AI dispatch is instructed to remind you of this frequently!
